Message from the President
The 21st century is often referred to as the Asian Century.
However, what is less known is the concept of Asian hospitality, in particular Japanese hospitality.
I believe that the core value of Japanese hospitality lies in harmony.
This is especially poignant to me because I practice Aikido, a form of Japanese martial arts, which can be translated as "The Way of Harmony of the Spirit”.
Harmony applies not only to the spirit of Japanese hospitality but it is an important element when exporting our services to other countries and presenting our services in the local environment using local human resources.
I started my company in 1996 with a vision of creating a hospitality group which expands globally, yet respects the local culture where the hotel is based.
Our company name “Colours International” reflects this concept by using the word “Colour” with the British spelling, because it contains the word “our”.
It is meant to convey our respect for the local colour where we do our business and the colourful personalities of our clients and our partners.
We look forward to meeting you.
The creation of a hospitality business based on the concept of “MUSUBI”.
Colours defines “MUSUBI” as service that provides space
and time that allow people to connect and create new ideas.
To build a distinct hospitality business
that embodies “MUSUBI” (= connection) and to expand globally.
To establish a brand of hotels, restaurants that occupy an unique position
in the hospitality industry.
Comfortable, Kind, Warm, Attention to detail.
These are the principles upon which Colours conducts its hotel, restaurant
and consulting businesses.
